The Mission of
THE ALLIANCE FOR PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
September 29, 2025 – This Judeo-Christian group was created in 2011 to address misinformation about the history of the Middle East.
The Foundation is Human
The Alliance is based on a democratic society deeply rooted in Judeo-Christian values derived from the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Scriptures.
According to Pastor Eugenia Daskalopoulou, “They are the source that has inspired and guided us for two thousand years. They shape our society and strengthen our faith in the future of humanity, capable of living in peace and harmony.”
Our spiritual values and beliefs continually drive us to undertake social and humanitarian actions that are important for the whole of society and its governance.
Our faith places great importance on justice, honesty, and righteousness in all aspects of life. It also encourages us to show solidarity, beyond borders.”
Solidarity among people
Solidarity between Judaism and Christianity, as well as with all humanity, is an expression of the high value placed on the divine commandments of love and compassion to all mankind. This is why every human life is precious.
Judeo-Christian civilization is once again facing great challenges. Radical secularization in the West and attacks by totalitarian movements such as jihadism threaten both the lives of many people and democratic governments. These challenges and threats are particularly felt in the Middle East, which is constantly at war.
Addressing the Rebirth of organized antisemitism
In Europe, a new wave of antisemitism and exclusion is striking those who openly identify as Jewish. At the same time, there is a creeping marginalization of Christian churches and believers. In France, some churches have been burned down.
The Middle East conflict is being imported to the West, which risks falling into the hands of radical movements that reject—or even oppose—Judeo-Christian values that have given shape to our civilization and sustained our society for ages. 20th-century European history shows that radical movements have repeatedly led to major wars and even genocides against religious communities.
Defending Democratic Values
To defend freedom and democracy, collaboration is essential, because, according to David Vandeput, Chairman of the Federal Synode,
“Truth and respect, justice and compassion are set up ethics in various cultures and confessions. Their roots are anchored nonetheless in the Judeo-Christian values.”
We will proclaim and defend our unwavering support for the State of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, where all citizens, including 2 million muslims, benefit from the same rights.

This street festival celebrated its 20th edition in Antwerp in October 2024.
